One Week: 50 Dog Miles (Day 6)

If you missed our first few days of One Week: 50 Dog Miles, our goal with K9RoadTrip.com is to promote canine-human relationships. Part of this goal is to inspire you and your favorite dog(s) to explore the dog world; whether a regular walking trail or a new park. So for the past 6 days I have been posting my dog walks and hikes.
Today got a little warmer than the weatherman indicated it would be. After getting a shorter morning walk and swim in at the county park, I laid in the shade all afternoon as Ed "The Chauffeur" fought with the weedeater. I think the weedeater won because there's still weeds in the fence blocking my search for the neighbor's cat.
Early this evening we headed to the portion of the greenway that offers the most shade and a doggy water spigot about a mile from where we park (Ed packs water but I like to frustrate him and not drink the water he brings along).
With 7 miles walked today, my 6-day total is 43 1/2 miles.
Distance: 2.50 miles (plus a short swim)
Duration: 51 min
Avg Speed: 2.94 MPH
Terrain: Moderate to Steep Inclines throughout
Notes: The northeast portion of our circuit is the local county park. The lake provides a great cool-down swim.
Distance: 4.50 miles
Duration: 1 hr 26 min
Avg Speed: 3.14 MPH
