Our goal with K9RoadTrip.com is to promote canine-human relationships. Part of this goal is to inspire you and your favorite dog(s) to explore the dog world; whether a regular walking trail or a new park.

We regularly claim we average 6-8 miles a day walking or hiking. To prove our distance claim and illustrate our daily exercise variety (dogs get bored with the same routine too!), we will for one week map our daily walks. For the next 7 days, I will provide details of my dog exercise with a series of blog posts titled One Week: 50 Dog Miles.

While we hope you and your dog(s) will get out and enjoy fresh air as cooler fall weather approaches, don't Prospect the Dog on a dog hikestart off with too ambitious of a goal. If you normally walk 2 miles a day, don't try to start off with a full week of 5 miles each day. Be realistic so you can have fun being healthy and enjoy the outdoors.

Today was Day 1 of my One Week: 50 Dog Miles.  I took two dog walks and logged a total of 7.75 miles; 5.25 miles in the morning and 2.50 miles this evening. Below are the details.
