Vegetable Attractions but no Corn Dogs

South Dakota Friends, Floods, and the Corn Palace

After a few days in the Black Hills of South Dakota, we started our drive east across South Dakota. While in the Black Hills I got a photo with both a mammoth and Mount Rushmore. We found Mount Rushmore not dog friendly, but with some creative parking and a short hike I got my photo!

Black Hills Bust for this Dog

Even though camping and hiking here has been a dream vacation of The Chauffeur's for many years, he says he is not comfortable keeping me, his best friend, in the Black Hills region any longer. We have decided to fold up the tent first thing in the morning and explore elsewhere.

10 Dog Days to Dakota Destination

Today marks 10 days on the road and we FINALLY reached our main destination: The Black Hills of South Dakota.
