After visiting Colorado Springs and Denver, we decided to head west to Idaho Springs, Colorado. Jeremy at the Mile High Vienna Dog Stand in Denver told us about Idaho Springs (see the blog Great Tasting Denver Dogs for more info and photo of me having to watch The Chauffeur eat Chicago Dogs in front of me).

Great Tasting Denver Dogs

We enjoyed a couple great days in Colorado.  Two nights in Colorado Springs definitely was not enough to see all the dog-friendly attractions and sites. With very few exceptions, leashed dogs are welcomed at the tourist attractions. Plus there are plenty of trails and parks for a dog to get exercise and explore.

Carhenge, Colorado, and Dog Decisions

The Chauffeur and I decided we should not pass up Denver since we were so closed.  After a big hike at Nebraska National Forest he said I could use a low-key travel day to rest up.
