Point State Park in Pittsburgh is the point where the Allegheny River and Monongahela Rivers join to form the Ohio River.  It is also the site of Fort Duquesne which was a strategic focal point during the French and Indian Wars.

When we visited the walking paths within the state park were under construction.  We were disappointed we were not able to take any photos within the park along the rivers.  But the park provided easy access to the Fort Duquesne Bridge Walkway across the Allegheny and the riverwalk by the Carnegie Science Center, Heinz Field, and PNC Park.

We saw several local dogs enjoying stops at the park during their walks around Pittsburgh.
