Green Area Availability : Easy to find
Green Area Access : Typical Access
Green Area Size : 5-10 min walk possible
People Food Options : 3-5
Fuel Options : 5+
Congestion : Effort minimizes contact with others

This is a frequent stop for me and my chauffeur.  The exit is heavily travelled, as is not only about halfway between Kansas City and St. Louis but also offers access to US 54 and the Lake of the Ozarks.

But if you make a little effort, you can get away from the crowds.   To the south, by the Super 8 is quite a bit of green area.   Between the Super 8 and Petro (easily accessible from south edge of Petro parking lot), is a large green area sufficient for walking around and sniffing.

On south side of Super 8 is more green area, about 75’ by 100’ appears to be part of the motel connected to another unmaintained area about 200’ x 100’.

Green Area #1

Past the Super 8 to the south is large green area about half an acre.  Appears that it may not always be maintained but provides a spot for the traveling dog to sniff around and stretch away from the crowds.  As part of the adjoining Super 8 property there appears to be a path of green area approximately 75 feet by 100 feet that is maintained.

Green Area #2

Between the Petro Travel Center and Super 8 this green area offers more than half-an-acre of grass with a couple cedar trees.  Parking at edge of Petro Travel Center parking provides super access.

Conoco-Phillips

The green area at edge of pumping area towards the Denny's offers enough green to select a spot and get the job done.  Prospect has marked this territory several times.

Denny's

An island of green area between the parking lot and service road.

Green Area #3

Very large green area accessible from Phillips 66.  Big enough and suitable for the traveling dog to sniff and stretch for several minutes.

Green Area #4

Approximately 1/4 of an acre park-like setting with picnic tables.  Easily accessible from McDonald's parking lot.

McDonald's

Access to Green Area #4 as well as to other limited green spots around parking lot edge.

Taco Bell

In front between parking lot and Highway 54, there is enough green to get out sniff around and take care of business.

BP

Access to green areas with less congestion.

MO Firefighters Memorial & Museum

The Missouri Firefighter's Memorial & Museum offers a great out-of-the-way stop for the traveling dog to easily access green area.  This is also the Heart of Missouri Tourism Center so you can get plenty of information about the area.
