Green Area Availability : If you look
Green Area Access : Not as easy as usual
Green Area Size : Able to sniff around
People Food Options : 6-9
Fuel Options : 4
Congestion : Effort minimizes contact with others

The McDonald's (north side) and Hardee's (south side) offer sizable green areas for the traveling dog to stretch and sniff.  Outside of those stops, a little effort was required to find some more green.

If you go off the beaten path a little bit, the water towers offers some city property ground with a road that dead-ends next to it.

The TA Travel Center plaza offered a 40 foot by 80 foot area that was heavily used (ground littered with cigarette butts and several deposits by other dogs).  But if you go down the road to the Truck entrance you will find larger green areas.

McDonald's

Lots of easily accessible green for dogs at McDonald's.

TA Travel Center / Subway

TA Travel Center with Country Pride restaurant and Subway.  The green area quality, accessibility, and cleanliness were all disappointing.  The 40 foot by 80 foot area with picnic table was littered with cigarette butts and deposits from many previous dogs.

Taco Bell / KFC

Around on the west side is a green spot for dogs about 40 feet wide and 125 feet long.  More green in back (north side).

Patricia's Foods

No green access for dogs here, but The Chauffeur always likes grocery stores so its on the map in case your people like grocery stores too.

Water Tower

The only sign here was one reminding visitors that firearms are prohibited on city property.  There is about 100 feet by 100 feet that appears to be public property for dogs that absolutely must avoid crowds.  Road dead ends between the water tower and a small church, so a quick in and out is possible.

TA Truck Entrance / Exit

Huge green spots for dogs that ride in 18-wheelers or dogs that need more peace away from the crowds.

Green Area & Shelter

Access is from the Phillips 66 parking lot.  During busy times that parking lot looks like it can get heavily congested.  May be alternative access from east side, but sun was setting, it was dark with rain, and we didn't notice until looking at map later.  If it exists, it wasn't obvious.

Hardee's

As you enter the parking lot, go right (south) back towards the interstate.  You will find a large green area about 1/8 acre.  The area is loosely a triangle with two sides that are about 100 feet long and one side that is about 150 foot long.  There are a couple of smaller green "islands" on the Hardee's lot.
