Green Area Availability : If you look
Green Area Access : Difficult to Access
Green Area Size : Able to sniff around
People Food Options : 10+
Fuel Options : 5+
Congestion : Effort minimizes contact with others

This interstate exit offers a wide assortment of people food and fuel options.  But this exit is not for the traveling dog needing some quality time outside the car.  While you will find enough green to take care of a dog's needs there are few options accommodating more than an "in-and-out" stretch.

To the west the traffic and parking lots are less congested.  The StarMart (Texaco) offers the most spacious and easily accessed green area.  This would be our stop choice.

The Chevron / KFC looks promising at first glance but the landscaping makes access from the parking lot almost impossible.  Though if you are a dog that doesn't mind trekking across a parking, the southwest corner near the car is sizable green spot with a few trees.

The businesses to the east are packed tightly together with little to no green areas.  Green areas of any size we saw were typically not situated for reasonable access.  The best option to the east was at Sonic.

StarMart (Texaco) / Baskin Robbins / Penn's Restuarant

In front the traveling dog will find a stretch of green about 30 feet wide and 120 feet long.  You can either park in the front edge or around the east side to reduce contact with others.  On the east, the width of maintained green area widens out towards the back.

Chevron / KFC

Access to the Chevron / KFC green islands is restricted by the landscaping.  While pretty to look at the shrubbery makes it difficult for a dog to take care of business.  If you don't mind trekking across the parking lot and keeping a sharp eye out for traffic, there's a nice green area by the car wash.

Bumpers Drive-In

Along Cook Place to the west is a stretch of green about 20 ft. wide and 150 ft long.  Note that the Citgo next door is no longer in business.

Large Green Area

For the traveling dog that absolutely needs some green away from the crowds, there is a large green area behind Bumpers.  When we visited, the edge of this green area was littered with trash.

Love's / Arby's

A high traffic stop with congested parking lot.

Two Rivers Steakhouse & Seafood

Though not a dog traveller's dinning stop this restaurant has a sizable green area in the front.  And since the restaurant appears to be an evening-only establishment this parking lot could offer a low-traffic alternative to green space.

Sonic

East of the interstate exit, Sonic has the best green area option for traveling dogs.

McDonald's

The traveling dog will find McDonald's has a cramped, busy parking lot.  Most available green area has been turned into shrubbery and landscaping.

Waffle House

At first glance Waffle House seems to have some good green for the traveling dog.  But with a narrow parking lot that becomes cramped with a couple vehicles, this may not be as promising as it seems.
