The Norman Community Dog Park is located at Griffin Memorial Community Park.  Just north of the 12th St. NE traffic light at High Meadows Drive turn in at the green DOG PARK sign. The Park is on the right hand side at the end of the access road.

The Norman Community Dog Park was opened to the public in April 2005. The dog park is funded and made possible by a volunteer non-profit group that relies on donations (no city funding).

The dog park is a two-acre, double gated, grass park with separate large and small dog areas. A third area is being planned.

There are trees, benches, doggie bags, and lots of space for happy dogs to run.

The Dog Park is FREE to the public.

For complete dog park rules please visit the Norman Community Dog Park Policy page.

Also on the site are lots of photos of happy, fun-loving Oklahoma dogs.

Prospect's Notes:

I had fun at this dog park where I met and played with Charlie, Otis, Ramsey, Kinsey and lots of other dogs.  The dog park is definitely popular and used by lots of dogs as a way to burn off lots of energy.
