Water Availability : Water Fountains & Well Pumps

The oldest Athens-Clarke County dog parks are found at Sandy Creek Park, with the first opening in 1991 named "C. Spot Run." In fact three of the park's Dog Parks were built with donations from the Athens Kennel Club.

This northside county park now boasts a total of four two to three-acre dog parks, three of which are "reservation only" with a $1.00 per hour/per dog fee. Call to reserve a dog park up to 48 hours is advance at 706-613-3631.  Dog park reservations are suggested on weekends and holidays.

The fourth park is a free public dog park with no reservation requirement.

Each dog park has its own water source and upon reservation of the 3 rental dog parks, each dog owner is given a key to the park and a water bowl.

All dog parks contain running water, a picnic table and trees.

There is a $2 per person (ages 4-64) entrance fee to enter Sandy Creek Park.
