I-55 Exit 187

Chenoa, IL

Green Area Availability : Not Scarce / Not Abundant
Green Area Access : Typical Access
Green Area Size : 5-10 min walk possible
People Food Options : 3-5
Fuel Options : 1-2
Congestion : Effort minimizes contact with others
Walking / Hiking Terrain : Flat
Walking / Hiking Surface : Paved Trail

Pet areas at the people stops are minimal.  The "jewel" of this exit is "out-of-the-way" access to a paved trail allowing the traveling dog to just not take care of "business" but also to get some meaningful exercise.

Around back there is access to the paved trail.

Trail Access Point #1

Asphalt to the south.  Concrete path to the north.

Trail Access Point #2

A small gravel parking lot provides "away from the crowd," trailhead-like access to the paved trail.  While used by bicyclists, the flat open terrain should prevent the "surprise" often provided by any bicyclists.
